Meet the Office

Prior to joining Campbell Hall as the Director of College Counseling in 2012, Jennifer spent fourteen years in the admissions office at Boston University, the last eight years as a Senior Assistant Director supervising four regions all over the country, including Southern California. Jennifer graduated from the Marlborough School, so both personally and professionally she knows Los Angeles and is very aware and appreciative of Campbell Hall’s mission and record. Jennifer graduated Summa Cum Laude from Boston College with a degree in Psychology, has earned a Masters in Higher Education Administration, Policy, & Planning from Boston University, and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society.

John Corona began at Campbell Hall in 2006. He received his B.A. in Communications from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX. After graduating from Southwestern, John worked in the admission office at Gettysburg College for six years and then at Colgate University for six additional years. He has been involved in all aspects of college admissions including interviewing prospective students, reading applications, serving on admission committees, and making final admission decisions. In addition to helping direct Campbell Halls college counseling program, John also is one of the faculty advisors to the Gay Straight Alliance and the Gaming Club. His prior volunteer efforts as a helpline counselor with The Trevor Project also contribute to his ability to support and counsel students.

Kimberly Oden earned her B.A. in Public Policy from Stanford University and a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University. She has worked in the college counseling field since 2002. Her counseling career has included roles as a guidance counselor and director of guidance and counseling. She has also worked closely with programs that offer services to underrepresented students with significant financial need. Prior to college counseling, Kimberly enjoyed a decorated athletic career. She was a 3-time NCAA Division I All American, as well as a two-time Olympic volleyball team member. She competed in the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, Korea and and at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain, at which the team won the bronze medal. She has shared her athletic talents and knowledge with students as the head coach for a high school varsity girls' volleyball program and as a Division 1 assistant women's volleyball coach at Stanford University, Duke University, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Iowa State University.

Elisa Sagardia received her BA in Psychology from UCLA and went on to earn her MA in School Counseling and Pupil Personnel Services Credential. She began her work in high school counseling serving as a guidance counselor, Advanced Studies coordinator, and testing coordinator. She transitioned to the role of college counselor in 2007.She served as a mentor to students in School Counseling programs at USC, Cal Lutheran, and the University of La Verne. Prior to her work as a counselor, Ms. Sagardia enjoyed a successful career in musical theatre. She traveled extensively in numerous national tours and also performed on Broadway. She has found true fulfillment in her work as a college counselor and is thrilled to be a part of the Campbell Hall family.
