Tuition + Financial Aid

A Campbell Hall education is a powerful investment in your child’s future.

Supportive faculty, small class sizes, innovative and inclusive programs, and a priority on social, emotional and spiritual development are hallmarks of the exceptional CH learning experience.

At Campbell Hall, we understand the significant financial commitment our families make. We also understand each family’s financial circumstances are unique, and our tuition may be beyond what a family is able to budget for their student’s education. The Financial Aid Program at Campbell Hall is designed to bridge the gap between the cost of tuition and what a family can afford to pay. Please read on for more information, or contact us. We hope to see you on campus soon!

Applying for Financial Aid

List of 9 items.

  • How do I apply for financial aid?

Families applying for financial aid must complete an application through Clarity, our third party application provider. A one-time application fee of $60 is required and collected by Clarity, however, this application may then be shared with any other school using the Clarity platform. Income-based fee waivers are available for those who qualify and Clarity will automatically apply those to your application if you do. You will complete one application per household, even if applying for multiple children.
  • When should I apply for financial aid?

After you submit your admissions application you should then file your financial aid application. The admissions application fee of $150 will be waived upon request. Simply check the box on the application to indicate that you plan to apply for aid and are requesting a fee waiver. Financial aid applications for families applying to Campbell Hall for the 2025-26 school year are available beginning September 9 and are due December 18, 2024. Please note that we are unable to consider requests for aid once admissions decisions have been sent.
  • Do I need to do anything else aside from the Clarity application?

Yes. We only consider financial aid applications from families that are actively applying for admission. It is very important that you also submit an admissions application by the deadline. Please visit our apply page to learn more about applying for admission to Campbell Hall.
  • Who needs to complete a financial aid application?

All parent(s)/guardian(s), whether custodial or non-custodial, must complete an application through Clarity. This is true even in the case of parent(s)/guardian(s) that are divorced, separated, or never married. Limited exceptions may be made for families experiencing extenuating circumstances. Please contact the Financial Aid Office if you believe this may apply to you.
  • What documents are required for the financial aid application?

Two years of United States personal tax returns (Form 1040) are required for all applicants, and additional supporting documents may be requested. Business owners will be required to provide business tax documents. At this time we are unable to grant awards to non-U.S. tax filers or to international students.
  • How long does the application take?

It depends on the complexity of your financial situation. Most families are able to complete the application in under 30 minutes, and the application can be completed from your mobile device.
  • When will I find out if I am receiving a financial aid award?

Admitted families will receive their financial aid award notification on the same date as their acceptance to the School. For the 2025-26 school year, notifications will be sent via email on March 14, 2025.
  • Where can I get more information about the Clarity Financial Aid Application?

The Clarity application is designed to be simple and easy to complete. To get started, please review their one page Quick Reference Guides.
  • How can I get help with the application form?

If you need help with the online application, please contact support@clarityapp.com. For questions about the Campbell Hall program, contact financialaid@campbellhall.org.

Frequently Asked Questions

List of 8 items.

  • Does applying for financial aid impact my child’s chances of being accepted to the school?

While Campbell Hall is fortunate to have a generous budget for financial aid, requests for financial aid from qualified students always exceed available funds. We therefore recommend that a family only apply for financial aid if they truly have no other avenues of meeting the costs of attendance, as applying for financial aid does place your student in a more competitive applicant pool due to the volume of requests.

It is the expectation of the school that a family will look towards all available avenues of meeting tuition obligations before applying for financial aid. This may include making changes to a family’s discretionary budget, drawing on their investments, or utilizing other economic resources that may be available to them.
  • If I apply as a full tuition family can I change my mind and apply for aid later?

Families that apply for admission without applying for financial aid are ineligible for financial aid in the future unless a significant and permanent change of their financial circumstances can be demonstrated. Examples of circumstances where requests are typically considered include divorce, disability, or death of a financial provider.
  • How do I know if I will qualify for financial aid?

The financial aid calculation process takes into account many factors including income, assets, family size, and the number of children in tuition charging schools, amongst other things. For many families, annual income is weighted the most heavily in the process, with the number of children in tuition charging schools also playing a significant role.

We appreciate that your time is valuable and that you likely do not want to apply for financial aid if you will not qualify. While there are no set income limits, we can share that families with one child in a tuition-charging school, making over $450,000 in annual income, are unlikely to qualify for an award, even if they have very few assets. While families in the $350,000-$450,000 annual income range with one child in a tuition charging school might qualify for an award, they will likely be asked to contribute a substantial portion of the stated tuition. Please know that these numbers are provided as a general guide but that each family’s award will differ. Please contact the Financial Aid Office for more details or if you would like to discuss your particular circumstances.
  • Is financial aid available at all grade levels?

Families with students in all grades K-12 are eligible to participate in the Financial Aid Program, however, financial aid for new students is most available at kindergarten, 7th, and 9th grades. This is due to the fact that these are entry years at Campbell Hall, meaning that there are the greatest number of spaces available and a specific budget for incoming students.
  • How much aid is usually awarded to a family?

Award amounts vary but can range from $5,000 all the way to full tuition. Our average award amount is $36,000.
  • Does financial aid cover school fees and other expenses?

School fees in general are not covered by financial aid, however, the $2,000 new student fee is waived for those participating in the Financial Aid Program. Campbell Hall also waives the 4% service charge for the 10 payment plan, and offers a reduced deposit amount for families in the program. Additionally, there are many covered non-tuition expenses.
  • I am a current Campbell Hall family and would like to apply for financial aid. Can I apply?

Families that have previously paid full tuition must demonstrate a significant and permanent change in their financial circumstances in order to qualify for the program.
  • Do you offer merit scholarships?

We do not have a merit scholarship program at this time. Special talents in academics, athletics, or the arts and other outstanding achievements are taken into consideration during the admissions process and are part of determining if the Admissions Committee would like to offer a place at Campbell Hall to a particular student. However, the amount of any financial aid award that is offered is based solely on a family’s financial circumstances.
