"WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER"

Excerpt from The Piper, Campbell Hall's High School Newspaper

We gather two times a week, every week, to decompress as a community. We stand together, we sit together, say the words of the Lord's Prayer together. We even sing hymn versions of the Beatles songs together! No matter where we are emotionally, no matter what's going on in the world, we meet and reconvene.

We all have two days a week where we are united as a community, but our sense of community doesn't end there.

We go to a school where community bonding is valued at such a level that events are planned specifically to unite the school, to unite the community.

We are all, every single one of us, involved in the community, and that matters.  It's what makes our school as special as it is; it's why people chose to come to this school and why they end up staying.

By stopping by to see the new exhibition in the Art Gallery, to buying treats from the Women's Rights Club's bake sales, attending homecoming or even just attending chapel, we become a closer community and, at least from our perspective, a better one.

There is so much to be proud of here at Campbell Hall.

We can take pride in our peers' accomplishments, because not only do they reflect well on our community, they encourage us to push ourselves to accomplish things in the future.

We are all connected. Whether it be by uniform, club affiliation, extracurriculars or classes, we are all, each of us, a part of the safe pocket of Campbell Hall.

Graduating doesn't take you out of this community. Alums actively stay connected to the goings on in the community, because they recognize how important it is.

So next time you walk into chapel, attend a game or a play, remember you're participating in something real and important. Remember that you're helping to make this community stronger than ever. Thank you.
